It's so easy to read the news and get disheartened about our
world, our species and our future. And today I had a shift in perspective
that's given me hope. The older I get the more I realize hope is faith is
salvation is happiness. So what did I realize? We've created republics,
democracy, civil rights, suffrage, childrens rights, gay rights …and we keep
moving forward. This is just a slice of the progress we've made as a species
from the days of might makes right and the pure evil we commited upon each
other. Yes, there's still evil in this world. But over time we've overcome and
will continue to do so. As a whole. It's a great way to think of life.
