LOTD (Look of the Day): Occassion:: Back-to-School Meet & Greet

I had a lot of fun at the boy's Back to School meet and greet last night, where we got to meet their teachers and a few of the other kids in their class. The night was a hit, and a lot of fun as well. Want to see what I wore?

Here goes...

...as well as some turquoise stacking bracelets and my wedding ring.

What did I wear with it?

A simple plain white tee with a simple neckline.
Plain, dark blue jeans.
Casual black sandals.

You can find these jewelry pieces and so many more beautiful accessories at

Thanks for your time, and I hope you're great!

The Rest of My Wedding Jewelry Ensemble

So I had a few people ask about what jewelry I wore (in addition to the Paloma Stacked Rings) and I figured I'd throw a couple of shots together to show you. I wore my gold stud earrings and my Sutton Necklace, as well as a layered bracelet in crystals, gold and silver. My dress was black and my lips were red. Hope you enjoy!

Stella & Dot Paloma Stacked Rings, My Thoughts

I wore my Stella & Dot stacking rings to the wedding last night. They're gorgeous, the profile isn't too high that it snagged on anything, and I love how versatile they are. You can find them on sale right now in my boutique. And don't forget, the giveaway runs through Monday for a chance to win a new Haley necklace (which would look gorgeous with these rings).

Hope you're all doing great and having a stellar weekend.

Big news, my first sale & a GIVEAWAY!!!

First, I hope you're all doing great! So I've been trying to find a way to make a supplemental income to my husband's salary but still be able to volunteer in the kids' classes and stay home with the baby. I started to see Stella & Dot everywhere - on Youtube, in magazines, on celebrities. So I looked into it and decided to purchase a franchise from them. So yeah, I'm a small business owner! Yay!

How does it work? I own a boutique on their site, and it includes all of their jewelry, purses and accessories. People can shop from that boutique, and I take care of them. I do any and all returns, answer questions, etc. So you can feel comfortable knowing I'll take care of you. And I get to throw fun jewelry parties locally, and can earn points for free jewelry. So exciting!

So today is the start of my very first sale. I decided to do a giveaway in honor of my kickoff. I put together a few fliers and included them in this post. I'll attach the link to my sale in this post. Everything is on sale (and half of their products are less than $50 even before the sale prices), and everyone who buys anything is automatically entered to win the Haley necklace. I thought it was gorgeous, I hope you do as well. :) Alright, I'm rambling, I'm just so excited!

Here's the link to the sale on my site, and I hope you're all doing great and please feel free to ask me any and all questions you might have! I have a few beautiful pieces I bought from Stella & Dot and I'll be posting pics of them to Facebook, etc. over the next few days. So stay tuned if you're curious. And if you've seen the vlogs recently, you've probably already seen them.

Hope this finds you all in good health and great spirits! Becky XoxoX

Sweater Collar Confusion DeMystified

I've been searching for a nice cowl-necked off-the-shoulder sweater for this fall. Victoria Secrets sells them, but they cost an arm and a leg. And during my search I was struck by the variety of collar types on sweaters. Because I'll never remember any of this, I thought I'd put a post here to refer to later. Without further ado...

A Cowl-Neck Sweater
 A Crew-Neck Sweater
Mock Turtle-Neck Sweater: a popular style, classic and beautiful. The neckline is narrow enough to lie flat against the neck, while still maintaining a comfortable fit.
Shawl Collar Pull-Over Sweater: has a distinctive cross-over style of neckline. This neckline is luxuriously warm, and very distinctive when worn
Shirt Collar Sweater: most often emmulated with a button-up shirt under a crew-neck sweater with the collar open and laying on top.
Stand Up Collar Sweater: also called the "Jackie Kennedy collar", is a modified version of a mock turtleneck neckline. It is higher, wider and more shallow than a mock turtleneck, and instead of hugging the neck the way a mock turtleneck will do, it stands up and away from the neck. This is a very fashionable design feature.
 Turtle Neck Sweater
 Standard V-Neck Sweater
 Boat-Neck Sweater
I'm sure I missed something. I'll update as I find more sweater/collar types. Feel free to post more varieties I haven't mentioned in the comment section below. Thank you for your time, and stay beautiful (and warm this fall)! xoxox

Free People

If I had the finances, I would gladly live entirely in clothing from Free People. Have you found them yet? Are you letting your boho inner-self shine? Consider me jealous. For Christmas I'm going to start filling my closet, one piece at a time. I think I'll start with...
An engraved metal cross-body purse. I am so in love with this.
