✄ How to cut your own hair ✄

Interesting new way to cut hair. I trust Lilith Moon when it comes to hair, and I'll be trying this out on my own hair this afternoon.

Gila Cliff Dwelling National Monument - December 26, 2013

This was the day after I got my camera, and used a free video program that came with my computer to make this. One of these days I'll dig out the old footage and redo it without the compression. Regardless, it remains one of my all-time favorite places to have seen in my life.

Hope you enjoy it.

Summer Colors Makeup Tutorial! - Great for Hooded Lids!

Jordan Liberty, the man is pure golf. Love this look, and especially because it's great for hooded eyes. Just gorgeous! xoxox

Back-to-School Nail Look

This look was so simple, and really fun to do.

Step One: Apply a white base coat. Any shade of white will do.
Step Two: Use a blue striper or nail art marker and on your thumb draw lines up and down. On the next finger draw blue lines going horizontally across the nail, and continue to switch which direction the blue stripes go.
Step Three: Use a yellow or green striper and draw overlapping and intersecting lines across the blue, as seen in the picture.

You don't want the lines to be exactly perfect. The waviness lends the look to a summery textile look.

You can vary the look by changing the spacing between the stripes. Narrow gaps will give it a more colored and dynamic feel. The wider and looser stripes like I've done are more summery and laid back.

I'd love see what you come up with, if you recreate this look please tag me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or Google plus with hashtag #summerstripes.

Thanks for your time, and I hope the rest of your summer is warm, fun and fabulous!

How I Roast and Brew My Coffee

This is the coffee video that preceeded my husband searching for a new roaster, in case anyone was curious.

My Husband's Top Choice for a Coffee Roaster

I mentioned to my husband that a friend was looking for a coffee roaster, to start roasting their own beans. Shaun looked around (he really loves comparing and contrasting products). This is his pick, if we had the money, to start with.

This kit includes:
The Behmor 1600 Drum Coffee Roaster is his pick for the best roaster on the market for home use. And this kit is only $6 more than just the roaster and comes with 8lbs of coffee beans.

Total win. I hope this helps someone out there looking around for a good place to start.

My New Favorite Hair Treatment

Brought to you by Marc Anthony...

Here's a link to the product page on Ulta.com, so you can read the ingredients, claims, reviews, etc. for yourselves:

"Marc Anthony Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Treatment is ultra-lightweight & non-greasy. It instantly transforms parched, dry, damaged hair into soft, supple, shiny silk. Coconut Oil and Shea Butter restore, protect, revive shine and enrich color. Biotin deeply penetrates to fortify, nourish and supercharge healthier, faster growth. Repairs damage and split ends and leaves hair healthy, hydrated and frizz free. Color safe."

I bought the smaller size of this hair treatment for $2.99, thinking that even if I didn't love it I wasn't out a fortune. And it has honestly become my holy grail hair mask. Whenever I use this product, which has been once a week for me, my hair comes away smelling amazing, and feeling like silk. It's one of those times when I actually stop and make people pet my hair, that's how good this stuff is.

Right now on Ulta (as of July 22, 2014) there's a sale on the Marc Anthony line including this treatment. You can buy one, get one half off. I'll probably stock up. And this is also a great chance for me to try out the shampoo and conditioner from this line without spending much money. I should warn you, however, that I'm not sure how long this sale will last.

This is one product I can get behind. Grade? A+

Nothing worse than a troll...

There's nothing worse than an internet troll. I was watching a video of the Schuerman family, who I absolutely adore. I scrolled down to "thumbs up" the video and a comment caught my eye. Some random person was commenting on the vocabulary of the Schuerman's one-year old daughter. So I read the "replies" to that comment. For the most part people were kind and caring, but two commenters were snarky and rude. About the vocabulary of a one-year old little girl they've never met.

For the first time in my life I was that troll. I told them to sit on a dick. Someone had to. Some people just suck, and in this case it was the dumb ass commenters who were trying to inflate their own egos at the expense of a baby. Seriously? How worthless are some people? Uck.
